From New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas comes a riveting new film challenging audiences to take a stand in the face of evil. The striking similarities between the church in early Nazi Germany and the modern American church are chilling and grim. This is the hour of the American church.

I knew when I was writing the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German pastor who was involved in the plot to kill Hitler, that I could smell what was happening in our future, in the West, not just in America. With the events of the last few years, it was impossible for me to avoid the thought that just as the silence of the church in Germany opened the door to Hell on earth, to every kind of evil, it is the silence of the church in America now, this minute that is similarly opening the door to hellish things. The parallels are so marked, even the parallels of the excuses given by the theologians and Christians  in the 30s who said we don’t want to speak out against Hitler, dramatically similar parallels among many in the American church today for why they are being silent on the issues. I am hoping and praying that God in his grace would use it to wake up those who might be awakened. In Germany there were many good pastors who got this wrong. Many of the them woke up, and then it was too late to do anything.
